Why do these words always rhyme
In a certain meter, and in certain time?
Why is it that I can write my thoughts
In poetic form… though I try not?
There’s certainly a rhythm and a flow
For specific feelings I want to show
A visual, a sensory way to connect
With readers that have a positive effect!
I want to bring them close to my Lord
The One who saved me from Hell’s sword
The One who gives me words by grace
The One I want others to see in my face
Will they read these words in His time?
In His place, and in His rhyme?
For these words are from God, it’s true
Words from me, the poet, to you…
Words from my heart and into yours
Words that bring you to freedom’s shores
Freedom being a Child of the King
Your name in the Book of Life will bring
Freedom from every tribulation to come
For you can choose to be with the Son
The choice is yours when you hear God’s call
So through these rhyming words so small
I've been writing, writing, writing...for Living Water, Secure the Fort, and others God has seen fit to give me to write! :) AND...still in PT three times a week! That in itself takes up a lot of my "spare" time! :) Thanks for your kind reviews.....

One more thing, Lucy. Where is your missionary story, the one I read on Thomas' website? I am looking forward to reading it on FW, as well. You know, "Humbly Blessed."? Hope to see it. I looked at the titles of all 36 of your works and couldn't find it.... Helen

Why do these words always rhyme

Why is it that I can write my thoughts
In poetic form… though I try not?...I LOVE it, Lucy. Sometimes that is just the way it is, thoughts come in poetic form. Why is it, like you say, easier sometimes to express ourselves in rhyme? I think it is because Jesus has put music into our souls.
