A Social Riddle

In the late 1950’s, a fatal, moral disease invaded the social structure of American democracy, initially infecting the public educational system all the way from it’s elementary level to it’s institutions of “higher learning”. This cancerous philosophy promoted the arrogance of man and purposed the expulsion of God from the core of our waning Christian society. It reached a milestone in it’s achievements when, in 1963, it brought about the removal of prayer from our public schools by way of an erroneous misinterpretation of the intention behind “separation of church and state”, combined with the selfish, unreasonable whims of the godless few. This disease then “puffed up” the egos of pseudo-intellectual instructors and prideful administrators, filling them with vane imaginings and diminishing their portion of God-given common sense; thereby blinding them in the folly of unseemly, atheistic deductions (1 Corinthians 1:20-21), distanced from the clear simplicity of God’s truth (Matthew 18:2-4).

Ten years later, this same malignancy infiltrated the criminal justice system attacking the basic tenets of social accountability and justice in such a manner as to swing the concern of public conscience away from the rights of the victim, to favor of the rights of the accused (Proverbs 18:5). Arrogant attorneys with delusions of grandeur became established within the system, rising to judicial and political appointments, providing them the power to confuse the boundaries between judiciary and legislative activities in the decision process, and water down any administration of true justice.

Nearly concurrent with that invasion of the criminal justice system, this philosophy further planted it’s seeds among the wealthy aristocracy of the American political machine. It there birthed the notions of replacing God with “big government”, catering to the fallen nature of man and promoting the destruction of the American family unit. It influenced the dark thinking of one of America’s major political parties into undermining and distorting the fundamental concepts of our nation’s founding fathers. Today, it is continuing to drag American society ever-closer to the abyss of depravity and idolatry (Romans: – Chapter One).

This evil has now begun to infiltrate Christ’s Church. Masquerading under the noble banners of tolerance and forgiveness, it now seeks to destroy accountability within the Church and silence her opposition to sin (Psalms 12:8). It strives to confuse Christian accountability (James 5:16), with self-righteousness (Matthew 7:1-2), and remove the “saltiness” from society (Matthew 5:13). It attempts to fixate man’s thinking on the loving and gentle nature of God (“God is love”), while disregarding or winking at sinful misconduct or wickedness within the world. It confuses the wrongful passing of judgment on sinners with righteous condemnation of, and warning away from sin itself (Ezekiel 33:7-9), making every attempt to further silence God’s admonitions to our failing society (2 Chronicles 7:14).

CAN YOU NAME THIS MORAL DISEASE?

Clues:….. (Ecclesiastes 10:2) and (Isaiah 5:20-21)
