" Well we didn't" Alice said with a hurtful stare. " Now what are we going to do?".
Alfie looked at the small city entrance sign. " Let's find a motel and then in the morning drive to Oklahoma City".
" Ok" she replied with a big yawn. " I'm tired too".
As Alfie drove over the wet leaves and past the small city entrance sign saying ' Hoot Owl Oklahoma', he noticed next to the population size that there was no number. He started driving down what looked like a main street and noticed how quiet it was and that he saw no other cars at all out in the open.
Alfie slowly drove down the quiet street and stopped the SUV in front of a small swinging sign that said ' The Hoot Owl Inn'. Alice looked out the passenger window as Alfie drove slowly into the circular gravel driveway and parked in front of the small white colored Inn that had a nice porch with a swing. Alfie noticed as he parked near the front door that no other cars were parked in the circular driveway.
