The terrorists of the middle-east are presently rejoicing over the collapse of American resolve in the Iraq war. The main leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq is openly celebrating the results of America’s 2006 mid-term elections as a great victory for the murderous cause of radical Islam.
Just like the Korean conflict, Viet Nam and the Gulf war, America is now again likely to be politically forced to stop fighting, and back away from her defense of liberty and pursuit of terrorists, providing the forces of anarchy another foothold in their quest toward world enslavement.
After January 2007, America will unlikely be on the offensive chasing these murderers into the backwoods of their “host” countries, instead she will be on the most extreme edge of defense against attacks certain to return to our own shores.
Ecclesiastes 3:8 tells us that there is indeed “a time for war”, that time came again for America on September 11th 2001, when radical Islam launched it’s idolatrous henchmen to openly declare war on the free peoples of this world. They have made clear their intent to completely destroy our ally Israel in accordance with their “religious” writings, then kill and enslave all others in the world who don’t convert to their idolatry. There should be no compromise with this murderous mindset,…..they want to either convert us to the idolatry of Islam, kill us or enslave us…..what does the true God of the Bible say about that? (Exodus 20:3-6). Islam is IDOLATRY, Christians should oppose it,…..not embrace it (Acts 4:10-12)! It is indeed a time for war when both our social and religious liberties face threat of extinction at the hands of vicious, blood-thirsty idolaters…..HELLO, …..THEY ATTACKED US!
We are all tired of the war in Iraq, we abhor the loss of brave allied lives, but we are facing a mindset of evil idolatry, generations deep and of world-wide proportion. It is bent on our destruction or enslavement, has absolutely no regard for non-combatants and driven by an insane “religious” commitment to martyrdom,…..truly, it’s god is Satan!
I pray we haven’t for the fourth shameful time in our nation’s history, allowed thousands of brave Americans to die in vain. That we haven’t squandered the precious blood of our fallen only to abandon the cause of liberation and justice because we lose stomach for the fight. I don’t know where anyone got the idea our task in Iraq was going to be an easy or quick one…..certainly our President never indicated that!
In numerous places throughout biblical history, God instructed and used His people to destroy idolaters and pagan nations. The God of Christianity is a jealous God (Exodus 20:5-6), never changing (Hebrews 13:8) and insisting that all mankind worship only Him (Exodus 20:5). God refuses to share the limelight with Baal, Buddah, Allah, Satan or even Jaba the Hut.
Today, Christianity does not “force” it’s beliefs upon others, nor persecute those
who won’t convert. We allow freedom of religion and (oddly enough) the only ones actually being persecuted are the Christians themselves.
Now, to those who choose to forget that our God is not just the God of love, but also of justice and vengeance, may I remind you that all people who do not come to God THROUGH JESUS CHRIST are condemned to damnation (John 3:17-18)…..God is serious! We must take stand against the proliferation of idolatry and resist the destruction or enslavement of Islam.
The mindset of “radical Islam” is the name of our enemy. It has no one, single nation as a “home base”, but is dispersed throughout the entire world. We must destroy it wherever we find it, for the necessary protection of the free world. We want peace, but they insist on domination. Perhaps a new strategy was needed in Iraq, a new plan for winning the war, but in the November 2006 elections, it seems the American citizenry threw out the baby with the bath water and swung farther to the “cut and run” left. Looks more and more like the old Viet Nam endgame.

"We must destroy it wherever we find it, for the necessary protection of the free world." I have no doubt that I could wax eloquent just now and go on a rhetorical tirade of hyperbole, but I digress. I can only offer the words of another on this topic: "I am not of this world, if I were of this world, then would my servants be fighting." Protection of the free world? This world is fallen and as such it is anything but free! On a strictly horizontal plane this has been well written as far as writing goes, I'll give you that; what I have a problem with is the use of a few verses out of context to advance a political agenda and call it Christian. There is one GLARING contradiction in this piece, but I feel I should leave that to you to discover and perhaps change, but my guess is you may well read it and leave it just as it is. Jesus did not agree with the religions of the world in the days of His flesh, but He destroyed no one! It is also in this regard that I will agree with you, He has not changed that either. Being harmless as doves? When was the last time you saw a dove with talons?
