Devotionals
Yes, I'm a senior citizen. I'm the life of the party -- even if it lasts
until 8 p.m.
As you start a new week, how will you and God handle it together?
Or is it possible that a rift or drift in your relationship causes you to
face this week alone.
Dr. Percy Crawford used to say, "It's easy to backslide, but it's hard to
slide back up again." He was right. It is easy to get careless and
gradually drift without even being aware of it, and all of a sudden you
wake up and wonder, "Wow, what happened?"
The small book of Joel in 2:13 (nlt) says, "...Return to the Lord your
God, for He is gracious and merciful. He is not easily angered. He is
filled with kindness and is eager not to punish you." If you moved
away from your faith, God is anxious to welcome you back. He is
there with open arms waiting for you to come to your senses. Why
not start this week anew with your hand firmly in God's and vow to
never drift again? Keep your relationship fresh and current.
