But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then will I bring him, that he may appear before the Lord, and there abide forever.
1Samuel 1:22
Has the Lord thy God blessed thee, in way that touched your heart..opened your very soul? You know that heartfelt prayer that you sent up unto Him...with all that was within you..that desire that you told no one about, not even the Pastor..because this is an "only Me and My God "position. Prostrate before Him in earnest expectation...and He Who looks to and fro, to see, has seen.....and He stops and gazes upon you.
Your gift, your blessing ..your petition is presented before you by the Lord Himself..and you rejoice..tears overflowing and praises lifted up unto Him Who heard your cry. NOW WHAT...?
As you return among the brethren tear streaked face...testifying about how good the Lord has been to you...He watches in love how the heart of his child is lifted from despair to delight..He gazes in Love and devotion for His own....
Will you return unto Him and thank Him...to praise Him...empty handed..?
The blessing left at home as a trophy for all to see...presented before all friends family and co-workers.
Or will you like Abraham, sacrifice your Isaac...your heart..the apple of your eye..will you sacrifice what you waited all of your life to obtain..to achieve..to accomplish...to love.
Will you like Hannah..decline to go to service this Sunday empty handed. I'll wait..that I may give unto Him Who first Loved Me...give back what came from heaven in the first place. I shall bring the blessing ..and shall appear before Him...
I return to rejoice with You..
O' Lover of my soul..
I give back unto you which came from your heart unto me
Then I know that the dream shall live..
I understand the vision as it was placed in my hand
And here before You it shall come to pass.
The gift you have given me, My Lord...
I give back unto you..and here it shall abide forever.....
