The first time we met,
I was going to need a lift to a morning service.
I asked my pastor if he could arrange a lift or if he knew anyone I could arrange a lift with for the following Sunday service.
His name was Christo. Blue green eyes; adored the Lord and just a year older than me. I saw him at church always bringing people to the Lord. We had never spoken and I wasn’t bothered until ‘the witness’.
The ‘witness’ that he was my husband.
It happened, when he first picked me up for the Sunday service. I remember it vividly.
I was sitting next to him while he drove and I gazed outside the window, daydreaming.
It was like an introduction, with the Holy Spirit tapping on my shoulder and simply saying, “This is your husband.”
I remember my thinking, “I’m not in the mood for this. Maybe the enemy is trying to trick me? I’ll pray about it.”
And when I prayed, all said was, “Look Lord, I’m not in the mood for this. Please just take it away.”
It didn’t go away.
Then I prayed again, “Lord, I don’t have time for this. Let’s just move on please.”
It didn’t go away.
Then I prayed again, “Father God, if this 'witness' is not of you please remove it from me in the name of Jesus.”
It didn’t go away.
Then i asked myself,“Is this ‘witness’ God or is it not?”
Then, ‘Time told the story’:
Five years later, we were married with two beautiful girls.
ps:God is not a man that He should lie, so when in doubt say a little prayer and let time reveal the source.

Lydia, How beautiful it is when the Saviour brings clarity to our day. The lesson in prayer is a much needed one for often we forget to pray for guidance and then wait for that leading. My story is similar but slightly different in the revealing. At the time, I didn't have the understanding of prayer but thankfully its different today. Prayer is an essential part of our journey with Christ. Thanks for reminding us.
