Angels who dwell in glory
Are sent from Heaven above
To bring glad tidings to all mankind
Of hope, of joy, of love.
A message was sent many years ago
To a land called Israel,
To the quiet village of Nazareth...
The angel was Gabriel.
He spoke to a maiden named Mary
Of a Child she would conceive
Who would save the world from sin and death...
If only men would believe.
Then he spoke to a man named Joseph,
"Take Mary to be thy wife,
For her Baby will be the Son of God,
The Savior, Jesus Christ!"
"Glory to God in the highest!
Peace, good will toward men."
The angels sang of His holy birth
To shepherds in Bethlehem.
Jesus grew and He walked a pathway
That led to Calvary's hill
To light man's way to Eternal Life...
The angels were with Him still.
When He died on a cross in Jerusalem
With a crown of thorns on His head,
Angels spoke at the site of His empty tomb,
"Why seek the living among the dead?"
And they spoke when He rose up to Heaven,
"O ye men of Galilee,
This same Jesus who goes to His Father
Shall surely come again for thee!"
So remember the Christmas angels
And the message of Gabriel,
How God sent His Son to save us...
Our beloved Emmanuel!

A very good message, year 'round. Why wait until Christmas to tell the world of Christ who came, lived as a man, died as a man, rose as God and lives now in Heaven, preparing to greet all who have accepted His wonderful sacrifice? Good poem.
