Let Me Go With Grace

Lord, thank You for the gift of life
For the blessing of a new day
Even though life brings strife
You provide a sure way.

Please Lord, open up my heart and mind
Free me of what is behind
It is You I seek, show me where You are
Let me know You are not far.

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit
Keep me sensitive to Your leading
I’m but a vessel
afloat in a sea of Your choosing.

You command the waves and the wind
The currents answer to Your voice
The sun knows Your name,
Bless me Lord, You are my choice.

When my day is done and my life is over
Please Lord, let me go with grace
Fill me with Your peace
As my blood stills and breaths cease.

I long to meet You face to face
to see the One who created all
The line between death and life
a surmountable and visible wall.
