A pastor is the same,
As a shepherd who tends his sheep,
Guiding and leading those who need to,
To take that faithful leap.
He’s here to help the Lord,
Prepare those for His return,
Teaching that “works” won’t get you to Heaven,
But are how your rewards in Heaven are earned.
Our Pastor is very talented,
He even acts and he sings.
And when he preaches the truth,
I’ll admit sometimes the truth stings.
I love when he preaches with passion,
And comes down off those altar stairs.
When you can feel his heart is in every word,
That’s why when I say my prayers,
I thank the Lord for our pastor,
I thank Him for all that He calls our pastor to do.
And Lord, if it’s okay,
I’m asking this of you.
Please watch over our pastor and his family,
Keep them safe and away from harm.
I know they’ll be just fine,
If you hold them safely in your arms.
Fill our pastor’s life with your love.
Give him strength and courage too.
Lord, lay heavy on his heart,
Whatever it is you need him to do.
Then empower his congregation,
To be your hands and feet.
Let us also be your voice,
Give us the words to speak.
That’s the best way I can think,
Other than staying in prayer,
To let him know how much he’s appreciated,
And just how much we care.
Thank you Pastor!
