God said a man should find a woman
And a woman would become his mate
But if he doesn’t make up his mind in hurry
He may find making his move is too late.
The first thing a man should understand
Some women’s goal is getting that first ring
Oh she'll show off the gold and glittering diamonds
But she can’t show off what the future will bring.
Give her the world to include your credit cards
Going shopping is next to her best friend
Remember she may be looking for more diamonds
Then when you say “I do”, the fun will begin.
The Bible says wives be submissive to their husbands
And for the most part most wives willingly agree
But let a man take advantage of that submission
Then you're looking at the start of World War Three.
Newly weds become lost in a new world of happiness
Suddenly without warning the real world sets in
He’ll find she spends a lot more time shopping
Because she's forgotten what began as her best friend.
So lesson number one to every man who’s in love
You can start off marriage by keeping up your guard
You can shower your love with gold and diamonds
But diamonds don’t work as well as your credit card.
