God the Father was sad.
For news of man’s sin and iniquity had reached the throne.
And in God’s infallible and unchanging word it states, “the wages of sin is death.”
Yet, the Father loved man, even though he had rebelled against Him.
The Son saw the His Father’s sorrow and anger.
Then He too looked down on man and was moved with compassion, with loving compassion.
So He turned to His father and said, “Send me down in the body of a man. I’ll tarry on earth for 33 ½ years. Father I’ll be a living example of thy love and word. I’ll be the sin offering for the world. Father send me, I’ll go.”
The heavenly Host was surprised and shocked. They wondered, “Who is man that God art mindful of him?”
The Father saw the love in His son’s eyes and knew His request could not be denied.
The Father said, “they’ll hate you!”
And the Son said, “Send me.”
The Father said, “They’ll curse you!”
And the Son said, “Send me.”
The Father said, “They’ll abuse you!”
And the Son said, “Send me.”
The Father said, “Jesus, they’ll crucify you.”
And the Son said, “Father I know, but send me I’ll go.”
Then a body was prepared.
Now I’ll ask you, “What greater love hath any man than to lay down his life for his friends?”
