"You shall have no other gods before meĒ
Elijah and the Wicked Queen
Gather round called Father Time, I have a story to tell
Of the Prophet Elijah and the Wicked Queen Jezebel
Now Elijah loved God more than any other
He loved God even more than his own mother
But Jezebel did not love God at all
She loved an untrue god named Baal
All the prophets of God, well, wicked Jezebel had them killed
Because of her love for Baal, their pure blood was spilled
Elijah stood alone, Godís last prophet, the queenís enemy
All the Prophets of Baal were four hundred and fifty
But Elijah knew a secret, what great things God could do
He knew all the things his God said were true
So Elijah called to the prophets, all who loved Baal
Letís see whose god can make heavenly fire to fall
They met on a great hill, Elijah and the 450 prophets of Baal
And the 450 prophets began to pray and to call
But their false god could make no fire fall from the sky
They prayed and they chanted but their god was a lie
Elijah asked God to send down a great fire
That people might know He was true, not a liar
And Out of heaven a great fire fell
Showing Godís love for Elijah as well
Just like Elijah, this is what you must do
Love God above all others just as God loves You.
