I see Pharisee faces
In seas of verbal vomit
Bobbing up and down in endless clamour.
When men become judge
They fudge the truth.
Ready to cast the first stone
They vituperate
Like striking vipers.
The word `sin' was mentioned.
But who in solitude
Dares to deal fairly with self?
Our predicament is separation,
But from what?
Better forget the question.
Let world opinion
Melt communal guilt.
We can influence opinion;
But who shall make us faith-aware
That after death the leveller
Comes the ultimate affair?
