Revealing Love

NOTE: I feel this poem is best read from bottom to top in a slant from left to right, as if in an ascent. This is to give emphasis to being lifted out of a pit (Psalm 40:1-3) to one day arrive at Home in heaven. However, the ascending slant isn't possible in this format. I hope that you are able to get past the non-traditional layout and will feel the emphasis as you read the poem from BOTTOM TO TOP. Perhaps you've had a similar experience of the depth of your sin and the even deeper depths of the grace of God and the redeeming, perfect, unfailing love of Christ. If not, I pray He will meet you here as you read.

Revealing Love

Who bears His precious Name
His Bride
to reclaim
Heíll come with power

To rescue me.
Will come once more
My Prince of Peace
On His white steed

Revealing Loveó
Heavenís veil torn,
Will part above,
One day the clouds

In earthly tent I dwell.
Yet for now
The gates of hell,
You snatched me from

I see Your face.
Until blessed Day
Gripped in grace,
Held in love,

In Light now found.
In darkness lost,
To holy ground,
Out of pit

In midst of strife.
Offered peace
Into new life,
Raised me up

Breathed Holy Breath,
You leaned down,
A child of wrath.
Dead in sin,

Psalm 40:1-3

Wow. This was truly profound and I love the suggestion to read it from bottom to top. It is much more powerful that way. Excellent writing!
