In awesome splendor, wings expand,
majestic symbol of our land,
dwindling in numbers to precious few,
we couldn't imagine life without you.
Brought to earth by bullet and bow,
by predator man, your greatest foe.
Wisdom prevailed, as did compassion
when in loving human fashion,
we decided to take a stand
and preserve you in our land.
Beautiful, bold, strong and brave,
our precious gift to cherish and save.
Talons locking, in flight you mate,
increasing in numbers, not a moment too late.
Endangered no more, freely to roam
safely in our land, your home,
and everywhere that Eagles fly,
we will know that God is nigh.
