The cave of fear, where I dwell
The darkness slides over me;
I’m not well.
I feel lost, I’m so afraid,
Frozen with fear, encased in ice.
Oh what a mess I’ve made.
I’m desperate for love,
Needy for touch, so very alone,
Not talking much.
Can anyone hear me? Can anyone tell?
How close am I to this edge of hell?
I search for You, as I delve into Your Truth,
Sweet sustenance at last; outgrowing simple youth.
Fear recedes with each verse I read.
You alone are who I need
What a difference, what a change
How my attitude is lifted
With hope I become real.
Nothing can separate me from You.
Nothing Your blood cannot make new.
