We go to worship one day a week,
And in one hour what do we seek?
Not even remembering the Word,
From the preacher we had heard.
For then you go from that place,
Forgetting from what's his face.
The sermon on what it was about,
In your mind shedding some doubt.
But no way would it be up to me,
In judging you to commit heresy;
It is up to you how you conceive,
A faith in God how you believe.
It is up to you if you confess,
If you expect God ever to bless;
While you go through this life,
With all your toils and strife.
But remember there will be instead,
A total resurrection of all the dead;
Both the just and unjust shall arise,
In facing their fate to their demise.
