There’s something else a lot of people in this world don’t know how to do, and that is… control their mouth. Getting control of your mouth is like flying an airplane. Anyone can do it. It’s just a matter of learning how. But I dare say the vast majority of people and I’m talking about believers don’t know how to control the words that come out of their mouths. “You may say, Brother Smith, I don’t have the time, and it takes to study the Bible in order to get control over my mouth.”
I see you don’t have that kind of time for the word, but you do have time to read newspapers, magazine and novels. This things cannot help you solve your problem, but you do have time to be sick six months out of the year, or broke most or all of your life, or beaten down by the devil day in and day out, night? Controlling of your tongue is not different. Your mouth determines your success or failure in life. No one else can do your talking for you. It’s up to you whether you crash or land. Jesus, in explaining the power of our words to His disciples said,
“For verily I say unto you, that whatsoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith, (Mark 11: 23)
Jesus was telling them, you have what you say. And it’s no different for us.
Hebrews 3: 1 says it like this: “Wherefore holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession Christ Jesus” Jesus was sent by God anointed, and appointed to be the High Priest of our confession. In other words, it’s His job to see to it when we speak the word of God out our mouths that it come to pass. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you that every word that men speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shall be condemned. Beloved, each one of us will stand in judgment for every idle word we speak and we will be condemned by our words and we will be justified or made righteous by our words so watch what you say with your mouth. God bless you.
