FOR THE YOUTH……..

Today, my spirit became a little heavy. There are so many things that are going through me right now that it is just hard to communicate, but I must. I watch the state of the world, kids are killing kids, people are going into schools and killing children, children are committing suicide, children are having identity crisis, and with all that said, no one is recognizing the attack on the youth of today. The enemy is so busy trying to kill our youth, yet our youth are so busy “hating” on one another that they can not see what the enemy is doing. There are kids hurting right now, and crying out for love, yet their friends, their peers, are not being part of the solution, but part of the problem. It is time for all of us, young and old, to put aside our petty differences, our hurtful words, our anger and animosity, our jealousy or envy. As children of God, we can not fight the enemy when we are so busy fighting each other. We can not praise God when we are so busy gossiping or backbiting. We allow ourselves to be overcome by what the “news of the day” is instead of what the word of God says. Young and old alike, we all do it, and I include myself in the “we all.” Start looking at the things that you are saying about others, and then ask yourself, “Would I want that said about me?” Start looking at the way you treat others, and then ask yourself, “Would I want someone to treat me the same way?” Look at the tears in the eyes of someone else, and realize, that could be you. Look at the pain on the face of someone else, and tell yourself, “That could be me.” Everyday, a child dies from suicide, every day a child dies from abuse, everyday a child dies at the hands of another, yet and still, we sit around hurting one another, instead of uniting to stand against the enemy. We would rather be friends with everybody, yet we have no loyalty to anyone. All this is going on, and we still can’t see that the enemy is doing all he can to destroy us. We are fighting each other, and Satan is laughing, we stand in judgment of one another, and the Satan is just watching us destroy ourselves. How can we say we are heaven bound, when we are pleasing the enemy more than we are pleasing God.

Longtime friendships have faded away, broken up or trivial things. True friends will always be with you regardless of other friendships that they establish or make along the way. Children of God, unite, join together, let the past remain in the past and look forward to the future. Live your life according to God’s Word. God does not dwell on our past mistakes; He is not concerned with the past, only with the present and the future. Yesterday is gone, what was done yesterday was done yesterday, today is a NEW DAY…and tomorrow will be an even brighter day. Youth of today, stop living in the past, stop looking for someone to blame for what is going on….stop hurting one another, stop mistreating one another, began to embrace your friends, your brothers and sisters in Christ…… Ask yourselves,” How can I say that I love the Lord, Whom I've never seen before, yet forget to say that I love the one whom I walk beside every day?” I want to challenge everyone, friendships that have been strained, rebuild it, blame that has been passed on, recant it, hurts that have been done, forgive it. This is a new season; a brand new day….the enemy wants you to fight each other, to mistreat one another, to backbite one another. But Jesus, He wants you to be friends, to love, to be accepting, to be forgiving. In Romans 15:7, it tells us “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” We sit around and think that what we are doing is not so wrong, but it is when another person is being hurt out of maliciousness. If you can’t forgive sin, if you did not die for the sins of others, if you are not perfect, if you are not Jesus Christ, then stop trying to judge and condemn others for their transgressions. The word of God reminds us that “a friend loveth at all times,” not when it is convenient or when there is no conflict. A friend will love regardless of how others feel about an individual. A friend will not let the opinions of others keep them from being friends with another. A friend will always try to encourage, will always try to be loyal, a friend will always be truthful (while being loving), a friend will always want to grow with their friends as Christians, while always witnessing to their non-believing friends about Christ. We have to stop allowing the enemy to get a foothold in our lives. We have to stop making Satan happy by the way we destroy one another. It is time for us to be united for God against Satan. It is time for us to open our eyes and see what the enemy is doing, how the enemy is causing us to destroy one another, causing us to hurt one another, how the enemy is blinding us, an putting our focus on things that are not of God to keep us from standing against Satan. We have blinders on our eyes and we can’t see the forest through the trees. Satan is trying to sift you young people like wheat, and if he can get you to turn on each other, to fight with each other, to go against one another, to keep you from praying for your brother and sister, to keep you from seeing God, to keep you from doing the will of God, then he can destroy you all……don’t allow Satan to destroy you….don’t allow Satan to sift you like wheat….don’t give Satan a foothold in your lives….we ALL have to live for God…we ALL have to do the will of God….we ALL have to live a life that is pleasing to God.....Psalm 133:1 reminds us “How good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in UNITY.” Remember children of God, tomorrow is not promised, an we always can’t take back on tomorrow, the things we did on today. Ask yourself, “Did I please God today?”
