It is because of you,
We had many dinner time conversations
Guessing who you were and what you would look like.
Would you be dark like Mommy or light like Daddy?
Would you play trucks with brothers or dolls with sisters?
Only time would tell as we anxiously waited.
It is because of you,
I was made to rest completely from all activities.
Your Daddy and siblings each showed in their own way their love for you and I in the continual way they served as I rested.
We each looked forward to meeting you and were willing to do whatever it took to allow you to grow within me.
It is because of you,
I saw just how much love is all around me-
Meals provided, prayers extended, a clean house, and a hand to hold while you born.
It is because of you,
We had the privilege of choosing a name that would honor Daddy's own Mommy, your grandmother.
She would have been thrilled.
It is because of you,
The Lord taught me a very valuable lesson.
I had many days in which to rest while your Daddy and siblings were out and about.
Some would say, "How awful!" or "How boring!"
But I say, "No! How precious the quiet times between my Lord and I.
It is because of you,
The Lord "opened my eyes" to what is truly of importance in my life.
He used a Bible verse that has changed my attitude toward life, I hope forever.
Luke 12:34 -For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
It is because of you,
A spotless house is no longer my treasure.
During my rest time, I could not clean.
It didn't matter.
Something better was happening.
Precious time was spent with Daddy and siblings,
playing games, sharing hearts and making memories.
Yes, it is because of you,
I saw where my real treasure needs to be,
In the beautiful people the Lord has put in my life.
Those treasure will last forever, not the things around me.
It is because of you,
I can look forward to each day with a rejoicing heart,
Knowing I have many beautiful treasures in which to invest my life for His Glory.
It is because of you,
I can thank the Lord, that even though your life was very short,
So much has been learned that I shall treasure in my heart.
It is because of you,
My life has been changed forever!
