“I’m the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch that doesn’t produce fruit, and prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more”. John 15:1-2. The content of this message is for my brothers and sisters in Iraq. For many weeks I seek to understand, what’s wrong with God’s children? What’s this brother killing brother and so on? Surely, this is not God’s plan for his people. I ask where is the True Muslim in Iraq? Where have they gone? Mother’s weeping while Father’s crying is more than a child can endure. This killing lay not with the occupiers rather with the Muslim of Iraq. The Gardener must cut the branches of unfruitful souls and spread the seeds of righteousness to end this killing field. Occupation is unable to quench the unrest. The Iraq Gov. is unable to stall the violent ones. Only the real people of Iraq can turn the tie of evil within. In Paul’s writing to the Romans, 2:25-29 explains it best. “The Jewish ceremony of circumcision is worth something only if you obey God’s law. Nevertheless, if you don’t obey God’s law, you are no better off than an uncircumcised Gentile. And if the Gentiles obey God’s law won’t God give them all the rights and honors of being his own people?” Yes, it’s true we are all apart of the Vine (Jesus) and he expects those who are attached to the Vine to be produces of good fruit. Can the True Muslim of Iraq say they are produces of good fruit? At the time of Judgment how can you win, your case, using the occupiers for the reason you loss self control. If you call yourself a True Muslim, then start acting like one. Stop killing each other so our God and start blessing one another.
