These articles I am doing concerning miracles are all true stories. They are boasting about the power of a God who loves us, and who has the power to do anything far above what we can ask, think or imagine. Sometimes, it is as simple as a prayer request. And sometimes, it takes Him longer to rearrange things in other’s lives to accomplish the miracle you have prayed for. The secret to an answered prayer is the attitude we have when we ask our Father for things.
I remember a time in my life when things were moving at a very fast pace for me. I noticed a little nodule on my lower lip one morning. It was black, but tiny, so I figured I must have burned it somehow while smoking those old stinky cigarettes I was addicted to. It did not go away. As a matter of fact, it slowly but surely grew larger. And it looked much worse on the inside of the mouth than what the world could see on the outside.
My daughter, who works in the medical field, happened to notice this one day. She was taken aback. After pointing out that she knew I had to know what this was, she again lectured me about going to the doctor and kicking the habit of smoking. After listening to a good little ten or fifteen minute scolding, I promised her I would see about it the following week.
After she left, I went into my prayer closet and pointed this thing out to my Father in heaven, asking Him for mercy and healing, and giving Him the reason that I couldn’t afford the time nor the money to go to a regular doctor at that time. Of course, I knew who the real Healer was all the time. I forgot about my problem.
Approximately a month later, I happen to look into the mirror and Oh! My Lord, there was nothing there. It was gone. Completely gone. I thanked Him for His hearing me and His miracle healing, and promised to tell others about His power.
Now please hear what I am saying to you, for this is very important to remember. Every time I give this testimony, my lip gets sore. Is it really healed???? Yes, completely. It has been gone for over four years now. Why does this happen? Friend, the devil simply wants me to doubt that He really did heal me. Do you understand now? If Satan can plant a little tiny seed of doubt, well before you even know it’s happened, you have stopped believing that God can, He will, and He did.
Please do not give him the opportunity to cast a shadow on your miracle.
