I sit on my rug
and I'm feeling small,
Compared with Your greatness,
And wonders- and all.
I thirst to be humble,
And give all I am,
Be all for Your glory,
Fulfilling Your plan.
I loathe being human
And cannot escape it,
But my past brought me here,
And I needn't re shape it.
For all imperfections,
They keep me in place,
I need them to grow,
So my life's not a waste.
I could beat myself up
For the time it all took,
You were too close to miss,
But I just didn't look.
I'm safe in Your keeping,
I carry no sin,
I haven't a doubt,
For Your light has soaked in.
I gaze up in awe,
For You are my Lord,
Here to be called on,
Thanked and adored.
The world is confused,
But it's under control,
Since Your Will be Done,
I am safe with my soul.
