I love this article because it reminds me of my own responses to God and my own expectations of him. But the truth is, fulfilling our chosen purpose in life only comes with total submission to God and pursuit of Him and his Kingdom. As you imply, we must focus on him and not comparing ourselves with others or how he deals with them. Only he alone assigns our purpose and it is for each of us to find it out through intimacy with him.
