All manner of evil is at the gate
hissing, snarling grotesqueness
threatening humanity.
And humanity cries out
as we have recourse to Thee, oh Lord
and invoke Your aid.
Send down the power of Your heavenly hosts.
We invoke Michael the Archangel,
steadfast warrior for mankind,
to be our protector in such unholy warfare.
Least we perish, preserve us please
from danger and destruction
now in this hour of darkness.
We pray and invoke ALL THAT IS HOLY
come to our aid,
open wide the gates of Heaven
and unleash that ultimate power
of God's Almighty hand
to be the miracle we need.
Forsake us not in our distress
and grant us safe haven here in our land
where freedom lives.
ALL THAT IS HOLY
descend on us now
we invoke the power of your aid. Amen.
Defend us, sustain us, and close the door
so satan enters nevermore.
All that is holy extend a hand
to spread your forces beyond our land
on hastened wings unfurled
we invoke your aid for all the world.
