This is a letter to those suffering. It is for every parent who has lost a child fighting in Iraq. To those who have lost a loved one to crime. To those who've see death before their time.
We've seen your flashing image on the television news. We've seen you name in print on a newspaper page. We've not forgotten the suffering people behind those images or words. You're held tightly in our prayers. I've only lost a few people close to me in the past few years. Each death affects you just a little different but it's heart wrenching no matter who it are. The pain never seems to end, you're continuously told, and it just takes time. Yet time is the greatest enemy of man. We wish for all the time in the world but those moments pass as quickly as they come. Death is inevitable; it cannot be avoided at any cost. No matter how hard we try.
Maybe what really matter is the expectations and understanding of death. Perhaps death is just the beginning of your life.
It's just a thought
To soar on wings above
Into the opened sky
And the rain of heaven's love
