After being cast upon the waters
now trying to make, my way up stream
and at times I get the feeling
that my boat is losing some steam
The route I took seemed harmless
there was never any doubt in my mind
So, why is the trip taking so long
why's the river of life, being unkind
I checked my gear and equipment
went over it from bottom to top
Making sure it was fit for the journey
and wouldn't have to make any stops
Everything was in order and going well
at full speed my boat had went
No worries on board, not even one
and was looking forward, to a great event
I did wonder to myself, was I carrying too much
did I take on too much of a crew
For my plate was full, almost running over
was it more than I could chew
I paused to take a look at this picture
and again to weigh the cost
and began to cast off, any negative thoughts
and to believe, that all is not lost
And say, that's life" in all it's splendor
so anchor down and ride it out
For in eveything there holds a reason
why things happen, on one's route
