I have heard that life is an open book,
So, if you've the time, let's take a look.
I can see clearly, now that the fog has lifted
And, if you can see it, you are truly gifted.
I finished one page of the book today
Tomorrow, I'll do another, if I may.
My pages are full, and without regret
Many are blank, to be filled yet.
If the sun goeth down before my book's done
I know tomorrow, with the rising of the sun
My children and grandchildren will finish it for me
For this is a part of my legacy.
