"In Him, our hearts rejoice because we have trusted in his holy name."
Psalm 33:21
All of Psalm 33 talks about trusting in God, and His faithfulness throughout all the generations. It it a declaration of Gods goodness and faithfulness.
How many of you are waiting for something. Maybe a new job, a spouse, a breakthrough in your life, a new home, some much needed money, etc etc. We are all waiting, and we spend a lot of time in this life waiting for various things. Psalm 33 encourages us to rejoice, even as we wait, because we have a God who is ALIVE a God who is MIGHTY, and God who is FAITHFUL. We have a Heavenly Father who loves us, and has our best interest at heart.
So I have been writing these weekly verse for about 3 years. I have written on this topic quite a few times. Since the last time I wrote on this topic of trust, and waiting and such, some of you all were waiting for something to happen. Waiting for God to move in a situation. Now, as I write this most recent devotional, you are STILL waiting. Don't worry. There are some things I have been waiting on, too since I last wrote about trust The reason I am still writing, and not complaning(too much.....), is because I know God is faithful. I have seen a lot of things come to pass in my 4 years of knowing the Lord than I ever thought I would.
We do well when we see visuals, and hear testimonies, so maybe I will share a few of them with you.
-I got a job that I enjoy! I am now working weekdays only, with babies, and I enjoy it very much so. God worked that out so I no longer have to work at the deli and I am thrilled!
-My mom survived her surgery 3 years ago that could have killed her, and they got a nice "chunk of change" so to speak in the lawsuit against the doctor. We now have more money that we have had in awhile, God is good, He provides!
-I will be getting my own insurance in about 2-3 months from this job!
And there are many smaller, more personal things that God has totally healed me from! One is anxiety. I mean yeah I still get anxious but not like I used to, at all! THAT to me is one of the things that has really stood out to me, because I can see a BIG difference in it.
ANd there are things that have happened to my friends that they thought never would. Finding the right man that God has planned for them getting a job that they can enjoy and that provides for them.....etc.
There are a lot of things I am still waiting for! A lot of things I am still praying for, that I feel like will never happen. But God knows differently. He has His plans and they are always good(see Jeremiah 11:29). God has it all worked out and day by day we see things in our lives played out in a way that only God can work.
I really like our local christian radio stations little logo-"Life is hard, but God is Good!" Soo nice to have a Guy in control who is GOOD. And almighty, all poweful Master who is faithful, just and true, and cares for you :)
WE are His sheep. He is the Good Shephard. We can go about life in peace. "Because He who watches over us never sleeps or slumbers" WE CAN TRUST HIM

Jamie,
Most all Christians can relate to this. Sometimes we get impatient, while waiting for God to answer a prayer. God works on his time table, not ours. And from my own personal experience... sometimes God is the one who is waiting ...... on us!

I enjoyed reading this piece,
and realizing that we all
do struggle with the same
human frustrations, in
various ways. Yes, I agree;
often we are 'waiting for
God to make everything
better' BEFORE we put our
trust in Him! But, He says
to us, "Trust Me now, child!"
God Bless!
