O Awaken Thou God

The solemn heart, hast waken thy God
to the things it holds within
And He has felt, the longing and yearning
and will bring them all to an end

All alone in the midnight hours
His presence was oh so near
Moving in and about, spreading His power
saying to the heart, do not fear

Though no words were ever spoken
the lips voiced not one sound
But, even so, our mighty God did know
what problems were hanging around

Not a channel was closed, off from Him
He knows every secret of the heart
He zooms right in, on every little corner
and His peace He will impart

O' awaken thou God, unto our souls
speak to the silent request
Give ear to all those hidden moments
come by and give us rest

Raise us up from the bed of afflictions
let your comfort be our guide
Relieve the oppressed, and loose the burdens
let us know your on our side

Our God has awaken, and will not tarry
and our help is on it's way
So be still O' soul, your time is near
and no more, be ye dismay

For the anointing is, what breaks the yokes
God has sent it down from above
To strengthen us for, the on coming battles
you see, we are covered by His love
