“Sorry we’re closed.” I am sure we have all experienced the disappointment associated with those words.
Thankfully, the good Christian people in the business of serving others through God don’t really know how to say those three words.
At least that is my personal experience over with my missionary Christian tennis friends at the International Christian Tennis Academy.
My personal friends of 7 years at the International Christian Tennis Association care and work hard. Melody Snelen, Rachel Snelen, and Scott Paschal keep their Christian tennis ministry open for business!
These Christian tennis ministers work hard and as long as it takes to get whatever job God has called them to do completed to the best of their ability.
Whether it is helping one of the Christian tennis students at the academy to learn a new tennis stroke, saying a little prayer just before handing a tract or bible to someone they see on the street whom looks like they could use a little Good News, or answering prayer requests online, to taking inventory and loading up supplies for the next mission trip, there is always plenty that needs to be done.
I have watched time and time again as Int'l Christian Tennis Association director/coach/minister Scott Paschal, or pro tennis players/tennis missionaries Melody Snelen and Rachel Snelen selflessly give of their time and talents to accomplish the tasks they feel called by God to fulfill.
There has been many a time, when I saw one of them give up a much needed nap time, or go to bed long after everyone else has turned in for the night, to encourage or counsel with someone on the phone, or to visit with and uplift one of the students at the academy in need of someone to listen, to be there and be a friend.
Even this past weekend, Melody and Rachel Snelen while on a tennis mission trip to Juarez, Mexico were open to God’s prompting which led them to get to know and help a young tennis player escape a terrible situation of sexual abuse.
It feels reassuring to know that God is helping and reaching people who need His blessings in their lives through the sacrifices and obedience of those called into Christian ministry, such as the hard working ICTA staff and volunteers…
