Jesus, being equal to His Father and God,
Was worthy of worship, honor and laud.
But in humble obedience King Jesus stepped down
From His heavenly palace, His throne and His crown.
Such regal humility our world had not known...
Our God became flesh, bone of our bone.
In obedience He lived, in obedience died.
To atone for man's sin He was crucified.
But hell in its fury had no conquest, no claim
On the pure Lamb of God so He lives...
Praise His Name!
Not all have repented in faith, nonetheless,
Every knee shall be bowed, every tongue shall confess
That Jesus is Lord to the Father's great glory!
Be exalted King Jesus...
My Redeemer, my Joy!
O that this grace would dwell in my mind
That I, too, would be humble, obedient, kind.
Not fearing or counting the personal cost,
But loving a world that is broken and lost,
Proclaiming the Wisdom of His saving Plan...
That once, long ago, our God became Man.

I love these lines. I am so glad to be among those who can say, 'Be exalted, King Jesus, my redeemer, my joy.' Thanks for this worshippful poem.
Linda - This is a lovely poem. My favorite part: "O that this grace would dwell in my mind
That I, too, would be humble, obedient, kind.
Not fearing or counting the personal cost,
But loving a world that is broken and lost"
This is my goal; to be more like Him. Thank you for this beautiful poem. It is very inspiring. In Christ's Love,
Julia
