In the midst of the storm
there is peace with you.
Though the journey is uncertain
I put my trust and hope in you.
As the winds roar and the waters rage,
I hear you say, "Peace, be still."
I get too carried away with the
worries of life, wondering what
tomorrow will bring.
If it never comes, will I live today in vain,
Asking, “what if?”
Once again I hear, “Peace be still.”
You know me better than I know
myself, oh Lover of my Soul.
How wonderful it is, to know that
I am so loved and cherished.
Teach me your ways for I want
to be like you.
I wish I were not so human sometimes.
I fret and cry, and doubt and ask, “why?”
Then you remind me you made me this way.
So, that in my weakness,
your strength is made perfect.
And again I hear, “Peace be still.”
