Paul was battered, bruised and broken
Yet he kept up-lifting the Name.
Often in and out of prison
He held on to Jesus, ever the same.
They banded, conspired, gloated in shame,
Taunting, trying, testing the saint.
Like flint, his forehead he kept, despite the frame and flame.
Giving glory and honour without a faint.
See beyond your trial, redeemed-of the-Lord.
Delay is not denial; your pay- day will come
Hold on to the Word. Hold on to the sword.
His will, will be done and His kingdom will come.
For you know that Jesus prays
And His prayers the Father hears
Take courage, be bold, come what come may.
Cast to the wind all of your fears.

Such an inspiration...we want to be called ambassadors of Christ but we do not want to suffer as martyrs. Greater is our reward in heaven than our torture on earth. Great piece!
This has broken a light through me, through a darkness in which I heard "Now that Christ says he does not say he prays, He certainly does less". Certainly He does more! For who who lives, lives not in prayer, the living more than merely living in the air!
