Will You Share with Me?
I'm a loner,a geek, a nerd,
My life is in despair.
I've even changed the color of my hair.
I've pierced my ears,my nose, my tongue,
Just to hear you say it's wrong.
I use words that you say are bad,
My clothes should indicate that I am mad,
Yet you separate me from your world.
Why?
I would like to know,
About this Jesus of yours.
You know, the man that spoke,
With thieves and whores.
Telling legalistic people
They were wrong.
Is this the Jesus you know?
Will you trust Him enough
To share His love?
To share His love with me?

I loved that this was written in first person. As christians, we should be looking to read the messages that others say by their outward demeanor & sometimes appearance. It was a wonderful challenge to me, to remember to keep my eyes open, for opportunities to love others.
I really liked your poem! It shows that we need to reach out to all kinds of people because they need Jesus as much as the rest of us, not more, or less, but equally as much. It made me laugh when you named off all those piercings...because i definitely have every single one myself, but it is just who i am, and Jesus loves me just as much as any other. This was well written. Thanks!
