E-Cheer: Negative vs. Positive

A Cockatiel is an Australian parrot. I wonder if I taught one to talk,
would it talk with that neat Australian accent?

In electronics, positive and negative are very important. You need
both. In real life you also need both -- positive in attitude and negative
to know when to say “no.”

It is in the area of attitude that negative should dwindle in importance in
favor of positive. A positive attitude will get us through many tough
situations that would otherwise defeat us.

The music industry used to have a trade magazine called Downbeat.
Years ago they changed the name to Upbeat to give it a more positive
connotation. A positive attitude is also good for your health. I wonder
how many stomach ulcers have been induced by negative attitudes.

Attitudes also affect our relationships with others. Who of us enjoys
the company of a negative person who is always “down” and
complaining about everything?

Romans 15:5 (nlt), “May God, who gives this patience and
encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other --
each with the attitude of Christ Jesus toward the other.”
If you really believe that verse, how can you be negative?
