"Do not fret because of evil men, or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this; He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land."
"Do not fret because of evil men…" There is a lot of fretting going on today, because of evil men and women who seek to destroy others physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and psychologically. Seldom do two are more people join in a conversation, which does not include some discussion regarding the killings, murders, drug busts, parents killing children, young men killing other young men, bank robberies, hit and run traffic accidents, homes and businesses being deliberately burned out of anger or to acquire insurance monies, and the list goes on and on.
Another name for evil men and women is angry men and women who sometime in their life suffered from the evil of another and unable or unwilling to forgive and move on these men and women allow their anger to burn in their hearts and minds. In response to their pent up anger they in turn set out to harm, injure and do evil against others.
To me it is sad how quickly we are becoming an angry nation. A nation filled with deceit, intolerance, mistrust, envy, and addiction to drugs, sex, violence, pedophilia, pornography and many forms of indecency. It is so sad how pent up anger caused by refusal to forgive others is ruling the hearts, minds and lives of so many people. Actually, it is breaking my heart since I know there is little I alone can do to stop this cycle of violence and sinfulness. My only peace of mind lies in my fervent belief that our God is still the Ruler of heaven and earth and in His time and in His way He alone will take control of our world.

Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him and He will do this, He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. How often and how willingly do we delight in the Lord? What are our deepest desires of the heart? Is God's will for us our will, or do we will evil to fall upon those who are evil? Can we yet pray for the evil men and women of the earth? Can we yet forgive as God forgives us? Can we have faith sufficient to sustain our waiting upon the Lord? Can our hope last or will it turn to anger, depression and participation in the evil around us? Who are the neighbors we love as our self, are some of them terrorists, insurgents? Have they abused and molested children? Can we leave the judgment and punishment of these people in the hands of God?
