The Rules of Blessing
God means what He says. Make no mistake. What is true for one generation is true for all. Where ever the Body of Christ is , nationally or spiritually, we are to be reminded of God’s blessing and cursing. In what ever position or situation God has placed His people we are His and under His commands.
When the blessing and curses of the Lord God make themselves known and obvious we have no other option but to obey. His commandments are clear and not hidden. One of His commandments is that we obey His word as well as our children. Obey with all our heart, soul and mind. This is a three part commandment. Our feelings and emotions are one part. Our basic being is another. Our intellect is the third. These are the rules that we must follow and they are based on our faith.
The promise is equal to the commandment. If we follow His word we are told that there will be no captivity, we will have the sympathy and concern of the living God for our sufferings and misfortunes and He will gather us up like a hen with her brood. Not only this but the promise extends to any of the elect. He will gather us up and return us to our roots. Not only will we be returned to a “ true gospel”, a “true grace” and a “true faith” but we will be held in an esteem above those of prior generations.
Our God will add to our teaching and understanding of His word in ways that cannot be underestimated. He will expose the elements of His work to those who are willing to be exposed. It is a true premise that He will only give what we are ready to accept but His commandment is sure; Love the Lord God with all your heart and soul and He will show you how to live.
He will protect you from your enemies and curse them. Those that hate you and all you stand for, in this world, will be cursed. Those that persecute you will be cursed. When we see His wondrous work we will become even greater in our faith and be ready to obey the commandments that we might have ignored or were ignorant of ,otherwise. Such is the work of the Most High. In addition our God will bless all the work that we do under the guidance of His Holy Spirit. He will bless our children, He will bless our abundance and He will bless us with the ability to bring in he lost of the elect. The Lord our God will have real joy in His people, once again, as He did with the saints of the past. All glory to Him!
As we keep His commandments we will see the true nature of the rest of His word. This is a fact that as we decrease our reliance on ourselves our reliance on Almighty God increases. As our self-indulgent pride begins to take a backseat to the word of I am our own I am begins to fade away. As our resistance to the Father’s word grows slimmer and slimmer His word becomes greater and greater. His word is not hard to understand and when pride is replaced with faith the inner man says, “ Eureka! How could I have missed that for so long.”
Almighty God’s word is not part of some “ pie in the sky when I die” doctrine but it is for right now and at this time. His word is not some, “ every thing will be all right when the rapture comes” it is for our present day and for this present moment. His word is as close as the Holy Spirit that resides in every believer. You cannot get closer than inside your very soul! When His word is that close, in faith ,we become able to speak it without hesitation. The ability is in us to communicate His word to the world in meaningful terms. We are able to do the right thing at the right time in faith. It is in the fundamental essence of our being. It is now!
These are the choices that the Creator has set before us from our beginning, life and good or death and evil. It is our choice. Quite possibly the only choice that we have. Perhaps the only ,real, choice is obedience. God has commanded that we are to love Him, walk as He walks and to show our love by keeping those commandments that He stipulated throughout the scriptures. His commandments are not some arbitrary laws like man makes but are only based in one thing, our own good. He only loves His children and that love is shown by His will that we all enjoy this life and the life to come. His commandments only contain blessings for His children. That is all.
He so loves us that He was willing to come to earth as His son so that no man would ever have to face eternal death but for His children to be in their rightful place besides Him. Nothing but nothing breaks His heart as those who should know Him, reject Him. He has remorse for any of His children who cannot hear through the din of politics and religion. Those, of His children, who follow the gods of pride, wealth and arrogance. Those who serve the god of this world.
In the end He will publicly declare them to be wrong and evil. They will suffer complete destruction whether here on earth or at the final judgement. They will rot and decay as will their words. This has been the word of Almighty God since the beginning. He has made an oath and it will be upheld. The records will plainly show those who, through faith and grace, are the children of the living God and those who have rejected His governance.
Our God has set before us that decision on whether we will choose life or death. He has set before us a decision on wether we should choose His blessing or His curses. Myself, it is a “no brainer” I will choose life and blessing. How about you?( Deuteronomy 30:1-19).
