I pushed open the door.
The door left unlocked by Satan.
I knew it was wrong,
But I was simply ignorant.
I was in.
Inside the devil’s lair.
Red hot and smoking,
I did not know how I would fair.
I began to commit.
Sin upon sin upon sin.
I couldn’t stop myself,
Sliding down this fiery rim.
All I could think of,
Were pleasure and selfish gains.
But it left a vacuum in my heart,
And I was struggling to contain the pain.
I heard a gentle voice,
Calling out to me.
“IGNORE IT!” screamed the devil.
But I couldn’t just let it be.
I began to listen,
For that heartfelt little voice.
It was stronger this time,
Despite all the incessant noise.
Suddenly, I felt a pull.
A pull so strong, a pull which I couldn’t resist.
I took a look around me.
How on earth did I end up like this?
I ran for the door.
I heard screaming behind,
Orders were given to grab hold of me.
All I could think of however, was to desperately flee.
My mind was racing.
And my eyes, they were teary.
I realized my foolishness,
And so badly needed Jesus to heal me.
I stopped running.
I wanted Him now immediately.
I knelt right on the spot.
And began to pray desperately.
I was no longer fleeing.
But consumed with a sense of peace.
I cried tears and asked myself,
Is this all I could give?
I was paid for by His blood.
Washed and cleansed and loved with that very blood.
Though I sinned time and again,
He still loves me like I’m new again.
I am in Jesus’ Kingdom.
And no evil can take me away.
For His power is unmatchable,
His fortress cannot be swayed.
I pushed open the door.
The door left unlocked by Jesus.
This is the perfect choice.
To live in the Love of all love.
