Thank you so much for providing for me and especially for simply loving me. Thanks for all the memories that we share together. As you walk out the door every morning to go to work, I pray for your safety as you fulfill your duties.
Whenever we joke or play a game, you’re always very comical. You make me laugh! You’re always there to help me when Mommy can’t even if it’s late at night and you are extremely tired. You work from 8:00 in the morning until 1:30 at night because you are always on call so I know you are very tired but I greet you with a board game and I know you want to go to sleep or do your own thing but you still play with me.
You make me feel special when you hold me and call me your “Beezy”. This nickname was given to me by Chaz because he couldn’t say baby when I was born so baby turned into “Beezy” and you still call me that.
You never get scared when there is a storm. When the thunder hits, it sounds as if my ears are bleeding. You just hold me and tell me everything will be okay and everything is okay.
When you left for work on Sunday, it wasn’t like any ordinary day. It was Father’s Day. You went to work not because you were scheduled to but you volunteered to because we needed the money. You were not only willing to go to work on your special day but before you left early in the morning, you even started the smoker and prepared a turkey so that lunch would be ready for us when we got home from church. You’re always thinking of us, your family.
Your name is Willliam, which means “Great Provider. Protector”. It brings tears to my eyes to think of the things you do for us. Even after working hard all week, you give the money to Mommy and you leave envelopes with our names on them and inside is money for us to buy whatever we want. You hardly even set back any money for yourself! I’ll never forget those special envelopes with my name on them every Friday.
That is why when you came home from work on Father’s Day, we all chipped in to make you the “Things that Daddy Loves” package. We filled it up with things that you love but never would get for yourself because you’re always sacrificing for us.
I love you, Daddy, and I know that God loves me because he gave me such a wonderful
Daddy!
Love,
Candy
