There are imposters in the Church. Some just take up space. Others like noxious weeds are sapping the life out of the Church.
We sing the word; The Light of the World is Jesus. Yes Jesus is the Light, but what are we? In Matthew 12:46-50 Jesus tells us that we are His brothers and sisters and mother if we do the will of the Father.
The Will of the Father is that we reflect the Light of Jesus the Christ to a sick and dying world, in need of a savior.
In Matthew 13:24-30 we read the parable of the weeds. After you read that passage finish reading.
Think of true Christians as the good seed, and the weeds as imposters planted in among the church body.
Now put these two passages together. If true believers are those who do the will of the Father, they are the good seed, and they reflect the light of Christ to the world.
The weeds among us soak up the nourishment offered but they donít do the will of the Father in any way. They are imposters masquerading as Christians. They take up space in the church but do nothing. When presented with an opportunity to witness they say nothing. Their life does not reflect Christ back to a sick and dying world.
The big question is what are you? Are you reflecting the Light of Christ to the world around you? Or are you an imposter, soaking up the Light, but not reflecting it back to the world?
Father, Your Light shins through the darkness in our world. Help me to reflect that light back to a hurting world. Father, if there is one out there reading this who is an imposter, shine Your Light on their lost condition and draw them to Yourself. Help them to see that the must do business with Jesus, and more than warm a pew, Amen.

I like the prayer and echoes the sentiments. Continue to shine your light into others and they hopefully will shine through and keep the beam bright. Thanks again for this piece and God's blessing upon your ministry. Janice
