“GREATER LOVE”
So many times I’ve tried to say
Just what you mean to me.
But words alone are not enough
There is more to love you see.
I want to buy you many things
To many places go
But when I ask if that is love
I simply do not know.
I tried so hard to understand
How to express my love.
The only answer I could find
Came to me from above.
It happened a long time ago
Upon a rugged tree.
When Jesus gave His Holy Life
Upon Mt. Calvary.
So sacrifice is the answer
To the question in my mind,
But that type of love I do not know
For mine is a different kind.
That is why I need your help Lord
You are the only one I know
Who understands the kind of love
I long to others show.
