“ERASE”
I wish that I could go back and erase all of the wrong
Like a composer does his music or a poet does his song.
I would erase all of the sadness sorrow loss and pain.
I would cast them into darkness. I would then erase the stain.
Life would be so pleasant for there would be no war.
No man would live in riches surrounded by the poor.
I would put an end to violence and every evil deed.
I would post it in the paper for everyone to read.
We would cherish every moment that we have with one another and
Give the best we have to our sister and our brother.
But life is not a chalkboard and it is plain to see
If the world will be a better place I must begin with me.
