A Woman Is…..

A woman is a warrior,
doing battle every day.
She gets up each morning,
and begins to pray.

It is your strength, Lord,
that lets her do all things.
His Holy Name she exalts,
and His praises she sings.

She asks for wisdom and strength,
to do his perfect will.
In battle each and every day,
against rulers of darkness and evil.

In the quiet of the room,
she prays from her heart.
To began each day,
with a fresh new start.

Putting things of the past behind,
Remembering only to love.
To care for and support are the
instructions from up above

She intercedes for those who ask,
for restoration and healing.
Her time is spent more and more,
always alone, kneeling.

"In the quiet of the room, she prays from her heart. To began each day, with a fresh new start." --- I love this. Too often people will wait until the end of the day to pray, just before retiring for the night. Though it is good to say prayers before retiring, what better day to begin the day than in prayer. Welcome to FaithWriters, and keep on writing. Thomas

Excellent portrait of a true Christian woman. I love the line "More and more her time is spent alone, kneeling." Way to go. Great write. Tracey
