"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
"If so be ye have tasted, that the Lord is gracious." 1 Peter 2: 2,3

Do you know many adults who drink a glass of milk regularly? Probably not too many.
When we were younger and were growing teeth and bones, most of us drank it often. But now that we're grown, most of us skip the milk and get our dairy in ice cream, yogurt, and cheese.
With the Bible, it's that way with a lot of us. When we're growing up we study it and then we figure it's enough to get a review lesson in church.
With our busy schedules, it's an easy habit to develop. Yet when we do this, we make it harder for God to teach us.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth," the Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 2:15.
Regular Bible study requires a commitment. Frankly, it wasn't a commitment I learned to make until I was an adult, and only then with the Holy Spirit's nudging.
