During a very trying time in my life I had three visions three nights in a row.
In the first vision I was standing with one foot on the ground and my right foot on a white rock. A red snake came out from under the rock and made a figure eight around both of my feet. It did this several times then slithered back under the rock.
In my second vision I was standing inside of a great wall made of rocks. Where the two walls came together was a very high tower. I could not see over the wall, but when I looked up the sky was the most beautiful dark blue I had ever seen. I felt a sense of peace and security that I have never felt before in my life.
In my third vision I was walking through my house. The doorbell rang and I opened the door. A man without a face was holding a white bag with something moving inside of it.
He opened the bag and poured hundreds of large snakes into my home. Each snake had a name written on it in white letters. There were names like death, harm, evil, anger, jealously, pride, envy, hatred, and many more. I was not afraid. I simply and calmly picked each one up and put them back into the bag. Each snake bit me but I was not harmed. I collected them all and threw the bag outside and went back to bed.
I spent several days wondering about the visions. I called a friend of mine who is very good about explaining things like this. Here is what she told me.
In the first vision, the rock is Jesus, the snake is satan, the figure eight is God’s perfect number and the snake returned under the rock, because satan can not harm you or do anything to you unless God allows it because satan is under the authority of Jesus Christ.
In the second vision, the wall and tower are Jesus Christ the rock of you salvation and your mighty tower of strength. The blue sky is His peace that you will have as long as you stay within his stronghold and protection.
The third vision is what satan is about to send your way, but because you choose to remain in God’s word and build your life on the Rock, you will not be harmed. There is no weapon formed against you that can harm you.
She was correct in everything she said. Shortly after that multiple problems and attacks came my way. But because of the visions I stood strong and came out unharmed. The visions gave me a sense that God himself had spoken to me to prepare me for the onslaughts. I have had many such experiences since that time and treasure each one.
One other note. Each of these visions occurred while I was fasting and praying and devouring the Word of God.
God speaks to us all. Maybe not in visions, but He does speak. You must prepare yourself to be able to hear Him. “Be still and know that I am God.”
In this crazy, mixed up world there seems to be no time to be still and listen. Make time.
