PATIENCE
I would describe patience as a piece of elastic material. When you stretch a piece of elastic, it continues to stretch until it gets to its elastic limit. At this point, i.e. the point of its elastic limit, it can no longer return to its normal state as it has been doing previously.
After this stage of elastic limit, it gets to the point known as the Yield point where it has the probability to give way. Then finally, it gets to its breaking point where it finally gives way.
This is exactly how the nature of Patience in a person is. When you frustrate a person, you are stretching the person's patience and the individual can still always return to his or her normal behavior when you stop frustrating the person. then it gets to a point - the person's yield point where the person has the probability to react to every slight provocation because of the person's state of mind towards you. Finally, the person's gets to a point where he or she can take it no more.
After this stage comes the criticism of the individual especially if the person is a Christian, just like the way a piece of elastic material is termed 'useless' or 'slack' after it has been over used.
But above all these, let us all remember that Forgiveness is the only force that can break the law that states that "the elasticity of a material can never be regained after its point of Elastic limit"
Let us learn to have Patience and if you are over stretched always forgive those that offend you and if you find it difficult to Forgive, ask God for the grace to be able to forgive.
