Whatever It Takes
By: Evangelist Kimberly Bush Crews
St. John 9:1-6 “And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay…”
Are you really willing to go through what it takes:
The failure, the loss, the struggle, the pain, the heartbreaks,
For God to mold you and make you into what you were created to be
And to bring you into your spiritual destiny?
Be careful to answer by taking serious consideration.
I’m sure God will excuse your hesitation
Because once the vow is made, there is no turning back;
And, God won’t accept you giving in upon Satan’s attack.
If you’ve decided that you’re willing to go through whatever it takes:
The storms of life, the raging seas, the spiritual earthquakes,
Why are you complaining about what you’re going through?
For, this is what it takes for God to mold and make you.
God had to tear you up and break you down
And start up from the ground.
He had to make sure that He is your foundation
To build His personalized creation.
The blind man decided that he wanted to be made whole;
And, I must admit that he must have been quite bold.
Can you imagine not being able to see
And waiting for this man to answer your plea
To heal you of your blindness right then and there
Relieving you of this burden that for many years, you’ve had to bear
And all of a sudden you hear this man spit?
By this time, I’m sure you would be having a fit;
But, to feel Him rub His spit on your face along with dirt from the ground;
Can you imagine the thoughts of those who are standing around?
But, this man did not move, but waited patiently on Christ
To do what it took to change His life.
That’s the faith that, we, as Christians, need today
To be confident that can and will make a way.
We need to be sure in the steps that God will take
To form the creation that He has decided to make.
It may hurt, and it may not feel good,
But, you can be assured it will turn out as it should.
It may sound and look like you won’t make it through;
But, you must be confident that God knows what’s best for you.
So, I ask again, “Are you willing to experience the pain and heartbreaks
If God sees that this is what it takes
To make and mold you into exactly what you need to be
And to bring you into your spiritual destiny?
