Growing up in rural Indiana Jerimae comes from a conservative religious background, his father was a Mennonite and his mother grew up Amish.
You might think then that his music would be very traditional sounding but that's not the case. Jerimae pushes the musical envelope mixing modern acoustic rock with electronic elements to create his, 'Modern Acoustic Sound.'
Jerimae's compassionate and talented come through in his song's lyrics. His vocals have a very reassuring feel to them that lets you know no matter what path life takes you down in the end with God in your life it's all going to be okay.
Jerimae's guitar work shines in each song and in most of the songs the electronic elements help to freshen and enhance the songs.
There's only one or two places where the electronic elements felt a little bit like they were forced into the songs instead of fitting
in like a good jigsaw puzzle piece.
This is a strong and solid effort and the good parts far out weigh the few little mentioned hiccups.
